Under the hood is a handcrafted 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 paired with AMGs advanced mild-hybrid technology, producing an impressive 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed automatic transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, providing exceptional acceleration, traction, and confidence in a wide range of driving conditions. The exterior features an aggressive AMG design with a distinctive Panamericana grille, muscular bodywork, large AMG wheels, performance-oriented styling, and quad exhaust outlets. Its commanding stance gives the GLS 63 an unmistakable road presence while maintaining the elegant design expected from Mercedes-Benz.
Inside, the cabin combines premium luxury with a distinctly sporty AMG character. High-quality materials, sophisticated finishes, supportive AMG sport seats, and extensive technology create a refined environment for both the driver and passengers. The spacious three-row interior provides excellent versatility for families, passengers, and cargo, while the available power-folding rear seats make it easy to configure the cabin for different needs.
The GLS 63 is also packed with advanced technology and driver-focused features, including Mercedes-Benzs MBUX infotainment system, a large digital instrument display, touchscreen controls, smartphone connectivity, premium audio options, and a wide range of driver-assistance and safety technologies. AMG-specific displays and performance information allow the driver to monitor everything from powertrain data to driving dynamics.
Whether you're looking for a comfortable luxury SUV for everyday driving, a spacious three-row vehicle for the family, or an SUV with genuine sports-car-level performance, the 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 delivers an impressive balance of all three.
